Production Shop Manager
Mid-Atlantic Mechanical is looking for a highly organized and assertive Production Shop Manager to serve as the vital link between our project management teams, drafting department, and our pipe and sheet metal fabrication shops. This is a key leadership position that keeps our operations running smoothly across multiple teams and projects.
About the Role: In this role, you'll juggle up to 100 active projects at a time, working with a mix of union and non-union employees under the same roof. You’ll ensure seamless coordination between departments, keeping everyone on track while balancing the needs of our fabrication shops and project teams. This is a great opportunity for someone with a factory production management background who understands the fast-paced world of mechanical contracting.
What You'll Do:
- Act as the main liaison between project management, drafting, and fabrication shops
- Oversee workflow across pipe and sheet metal fabrication, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Manage communication between teams, keeping projects moving while minimizing bottlenecks
- Work with both union and non-union workers effectively, ensuring a smooth, collaborative environment
- Prioritize and track multiple projects simultaneously with a keen eye for detail
- Push production schedules forward while maintaining positive relationships—you’re firm but not overbearing
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of fabricated materials to meet project timelines
- Identify and resolve production challenges, coordinating closely with all stakeholders
