What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Sterile Processing Technician position at MIDATLANTIC OPHTHALMOLOGY GROU?
Looking for a Per Diem Certified Surgical Processing Technician to work in our Ophthalmology Surgery Center. The position is for Thursdays 6am-2pm (end time may vary).
- Assisting in operations and working cohesively under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. May help set up operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeon's assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count supplies, and instruments.
- Washing and sterilizing equipment, using germicides and sterilizers.
- Monitoring and continually assessing for safe operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs
- Operating, assembling, adjusting, or monitoring sterilizers
- Cleaning and restocking Operating room, gathering and placing equipment and supplies and arranging instruments according to instructions
