What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Supply Chain position at Midco Brand?
JOB PURPOSE:
In this role, you will analyze large sets of data and develop recommendations to drive business decisions specifically aimed at improving Midco’s supply chain.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Collect relevant data and produce comprehensive analysis to drive business decisions.
- Analyze data to suggest and develop process improvements that increase quality of work and efficiencies.
- Understand business priorities and use data to identify ways for Midco to meet these priorities through process improvement and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with the supply chain teams to identify system limitations and develop solutions that provide long-term results.
- Work to standardize the data collection and reporting processes for the Supply Chain team.
- Understand and work proficiently with analytical tools and models.
- Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco’s Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
- Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
- Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Data Analytics, or related field.
- Microsoft SQL experience is preferred. Ideal candidate be in third or fourth year of degree program.
- Tableau or PowerBI experience is preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Precision in data analysis and report generation.
- Capability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
