What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Producer position at MidCountry Bank?
JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to be the first point of contact for new and existing customers. The Sales Producer will assess clients' needs, offer tailored solutions, and provide outstanding customer service to ensure satisfaction. The Sales Producer will play an integral part in building long-term relationships and driving business growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prospects and meets with potential customers to discuss their insurance needs and offer solutions
- Marketing to identified and agreed upon niche markets
- Solicit and receive referrals from MCB team members and current customers
- Networking via professional associations, community groups and other organizations
- Performing fact finding and gathering information on potential client
- Determining customer needs and fit through risk analysis
- Explaining MCI products and services
2. Completes and submits insurance applications and close the sales/obtain the business
- Enter customer information in appropriate systems and analyze loss run data
- Market and obtain rates with respective insurance companies
- Finalize and present insurance proposal to the customer and ask for the business
- Obtaining customers signatures as required for legal contracts and secure necessary payments
- Submit all documents to insurance company to issue policy
- Achieves sales goals
3. Performing policy maintenance and cross selling opportunities by:
- Monitor expiration dates of policies and Contact customers regarding initial renewal activities
- Re-marketing (TAM) and re-quoting (EZLynx) policies as needed
- Contacting customer to secure final renewal
- Communicating with CSR’s on customer changes or policy coverage needs
- Responsive to customer inquiries
- Assist with claims issues
4. Referrals and Foster Relationships with internal and external centers of influence:
- Introduce customers to other internal partners for relationship deepening and cross-selling opportunities.
- Identifying and develop relationships with accounting, legal, realtors, and estate planning professionals
5. Ensures sufficient training is completed and CEU’s and licenses are obtained and are current:
- Attending formal classroom setting training and/or online classes
- Passing quizzes and test with satisfactory scores
- Completing internal company training (e.g. BAI) satisfactorily and timely
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education-
- Required: High School or equivalent
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Experience-
- 5 years of related experience
Certifications-
- Current Insurance Agent Licenses
