Position Overview :
The Director of Operations will oversee essential operational and administrative functions in close partnership with the COO and management team. This position is vital for ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, driving process improvements, and fostering collaboration across teams to support the organization's strategic vision. Key responsibilities include overseeing and providing leadership of office and facilities operations, compliance, IT, and HR with support from outsourced consultants.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in operations management and HR, along with cross-departmental experience. They should be a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and have excellent communication. They should demonstrate a a proactive, organized approach, and be skilled at managing multiple tasks independently.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Drive efficient day-to-day operations across all departments, monitoring performance metrics and implementing process improvements.
- Lead HR administration including recruiting and onboarding, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; and training and development.
- Oversee facilities management, ensuring timely maintenance, compliance with safety regulations, and optimal use of space.
- Manage IT and digital systems infrastructure with outsourced consultant support, including hardware, software, data, and network systems. This includes implementing and maintaining data security and privacy policies.
- Design and develop risk management policies and procedures, including securing comprehensive insurance coverage and policies.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all necessary licenses and filing requirements, including local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, solutions, and policies to enhance operational performance and effectiveness across all departments
- Build and manage strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Foster collaboration between departments to streamline operations and enhance communication.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned to support the organization’s objectives.
