Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in the food industry, particularly within a restaurant or fine dining environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our dishes while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food safety and sanitation practices are upheld.
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality meal preparation for various occasions.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or as a line cook is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is essential.
- Experience in catering or working within a dietary department is a plus.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
