Objectives of this Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers. Process accounts payable and/or receivable transactions to include all functions related to 1099s. Work activity payables and billing functions. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Perform data entry and maintain financial databases. Respond to inquiries from management, internal team members and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. Participate in all cash management functions, as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Accounting Technician Trainee (FIT019) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Experience in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
