Services Area/Programs:       Court Services/Accountability Court

Designation:  Mission Critical Position        

 
Description of Duties:     The individual in this role will act as a liaison for Accountability Court services for Houston County and Southwestern Judicial Circuits. The Coordinator for Court Services performs a key role in assessment, coordination of legal matters, and specialized conditional release planning for individuals who are found by the courts to suffer from a Mental Health and/or Addictive Disease. Participants served may also include those who have been found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, incompetent to stand trial and/or under pre-trial diversion. This individual will be required to travel 50% of time and will serve as POC for court participants, working directly with Accountability Court Teams. They will be responsible for providing clinical updates and progression as well as clinical recommendations to the Accountability Court Team weekly. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that minimum treatment court requirements are obtained with each individual served through the courts. In addition, will collaborate with interagency clinical staff to ensure clinical treatment recommendations are addressed in treatment and will provide ongoing supervision and monitoring of all treatment plan needs of court participants. This individual will be responsible for ongoing communication with external Accountability Court Team members to ensure multiple systems are being addressed around participant’s treatment (i.e. legal, home, work, community, etc). This individual will conduct individual, group, and family therapy when indicated to meet minimum standards set by Council of Accountability Court Judges (CACJ). This individual will obtain certification required/requested by CACJ or Accountability Court programs to ensure evidence based treatments are being used with participants. This individual will be required to document services in both agency software as well as court. This individual will be required to conduct assessments on site at jail, in homes, and other areas when indicated. The Coordinator will be required to attend treatment meetings and court as well as balance their roles and responsibilities within the agency. They will be responsible for completing monthly reports to ensure program fidelity both clinically and financially. This individual will also be responsible for a minimum of 55% billable productivity time (96 hours per month). Transporting individuals served is a requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:  Licensed by Georgia State Composite Board to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT).  Must have at least one year experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating co-occurring disorders.  Must be keyboard proficient and have the ability to organize daily duties with minimal oversight.  Working Knowledge of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Provider Manual. Must have a valid, unrestricted GA Driver’s License.  

Preferred Qualifications:  Licensed by Georgia State Composite Board to practice independently as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and/or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a minimum of 2 years of generalist practice experience, post full licensure and in good standing without restriction.
