Objectives of this Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting/Financial Manager or Director to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and strategic planning, with a proven track record of managing financial teams and driving organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives. Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audits. Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant. Work directly with the CFO on projects, reporting, financial preparation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field and three (3) years of professional accounting job-related experience, which includes one (1) year in a supervisory role; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Accountant Spv (FIP024) or equivalent position.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or CPA preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or director role. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance management.
