Description of Duties:
Objectives of this Role: The Systems Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users and clients in the organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services. The technician will work closely with the agency’s IT and software vendors and other IT staff to resolve technical problems and improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to users. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and network devices. Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software solutions. Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal operation. Document technical procedures and user guides for reference and training purposes. Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and enhancements. Provide training and support to end-users on software applications and IT best practices. Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses. Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in systems support.
Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience, which included report writing and data collection, tabulation, computation, and analysis. Valid, unrestricted GA Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; proven experience in a technical support role or similar position.
