Job Summary:
The Activity Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring activities to improve the overall health and wellbeing of Heart Homes tenants. This position is performed under the general supervision of the Heart Homes Coordinator.
This is a Part-Time position; 25 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the staff, as required, to implement chosen activities which many include training of staff as required.
- Monitoring of activities to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisor through activity reports, conferences, correspondence, and other reports as required.
- Coordinate with others in the community and with other agencies to arrange guest speakers, wellness checks, workshops and other educational information.
- Ability to communicate and maintain rapport with all areas of the community.
- Skilled in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to carry out a program with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Ability to effectively motivate others.
- Ability to analyze problems and make plans and recommendations based on those findings
- Must have and maintain a private automobile with proper liability insurance and a valid Georgia driver’s license.
Minimum Requirements of the Position
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Experience in planning and coordinating activities is required
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills
- Must have good organizational skills
