What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Services Coordinator position at Middle Georgia Community Action Agency?
Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Head Start Director, the Health Services Coordinator will apply professional expertise in monitoring, consultation, training, and daily oversight of Health Services for the Head Start program. The Health Services Coordinator will also create and maintain collaborations with community agencies with Health Providers and assure that performance standards and Health Service policies and procedures are implemented consistently across the entire program.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Internal Consulting within the Head Start program
- Training opportunities for staff and parents alongside community partners and organizations
- Community Health Development
- Program Support and Regulatory Compliance to include assessments and data analysis and reporting
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- At least two years of professional level experience in Health Services, preferably in a social service environment.
- Experience in design and delivery of training is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desirable.
- Working knowledge of local community resources in specialty area.
- Current training/certification requirements to teach Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
- Must have a valid Georgia Driver's License and proof of insurance and provide own vehicle.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.18 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
