Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting with new student recruitment and New Student Orientation programs at Middle Georgia State University.
Responsibilities
Event management (60%)
Prepares and executes orientation programs for new students entering the University.
Prepares and executes campus tours/events for prospective students of the University.
Administrative duties (40%)
Assist in making calls to Fall 2025 new students.
Assist with preparing materials for Admissions and Orientation events.
Assist Admissions staff with data entry.
Required Qualifications
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be dependable and prompt.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, social media platforms, Canva, etc.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of Middle Georgia State University admissions requirements.
Knowledge of Middle Georgia State University academic programs, schools and departments and related degree requirements.
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
Skill in decision making and problem solving.
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
Skill in oral and written communication.
