Job Summary
Academic Affairs and the Office of Institutional Research and Data Strategy (AA/OIRDS) is seeking a Student Office Assistant who will work closely with AA/OIRDS staff with daily clerical needs and AA/OIRDS projects. Student Office Assistants will have the ability to navigate and abide by MGA institutional polices. Student Assistants report directly to the AA/OIRDS Student Assistant Supervisor. This is a part-time position working up to 19 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Scan, file, copy, mail, shred, and retrieve documents as required by the OIRDS staff.
- Assist OIRDS staff during high volume project needs.
- Maintain acceptable and professional quality phone service and productivity performance.
- Adhere to Data Safety per the USG¿s and MGA¿s technical and cybersecurity best practices.
- Performs duties assigned by OIRDS staff.
- Must be dependable and prompt while maintaining his/her academic workload and handling a student assistant opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
- Currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 hours
- Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Student assistants must have knowledge of computers and different software programs.
- Any prior job experience in an office environment is helpful, but not necessary.
- Student assistants are required to follow all employee policies and procedures.
