Job description
Located in the heart of the Colorado Rockies at the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, Middle Park Medical Center is “Keeping LIFE Grand”. We are a 25 bed, critical access hospital system serving patients in Grand, Jackson & Northern Summit County, Colorado since 1933 and at a family practice clinic in Walden since 2012. The hospitals in Granby, Kremmling & the new Fraser hospital opening in June 2025 are all designated as Level IV Trauma Centers.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Operations Director, the Maintenance Tech I will be responsible for the maintenance programs of the facility, as well as light electrical, plumbing, HVAC and boiler repairs, outside ground care. Some painting and construction skills are also required. Available for on-call duty.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurability standards.
- Must pass an annual Fitness for Duty physical exam and participate in random drug and alcohol testing program.
- Minimum of 1 year specialized trade school or documented experience in each of the following fields: Electrical, HVAC, Pneumatics and Electronic Instrumentation.
- Experience of at least 1 year in hospital maintenance or related field preferred.
- Boiler and high-pressure vessel experience of 2 years preferred.
- Pass and maintain current Basic Life Support certification within 60 days of hire.
- A working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance programs relative to the hospital environment.
