The position of Director of Clinician Services is responsible for:
- Plans, organizes, and directs provision of assigned clinical services programs and department divisions in accordance with established departmental policies, procedures and standards, and applicable local, State and federal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
- Supervises, assigns, and reviews activities of division supervisory, support, and clinical staff, instructing and advising, as necessary, and resolving problems as non-routine situations arise; reviews and evaluates program policies and procedures, and recommends changes to Executive Director, as appropriate.
- Approves and monitors all budget expenditures for all assigned Mental Health and Substance Abuse Programs; develops, prepares, and revises budgets for all assigned Mental Health and Substance Abuse Programs.
- Reviews and makes recommendations regarding personnel actions within assigned programs and divisions; monitors staffing levels within the department and recommends adjustments; conducts performance evaluations on all immediate subordinates.
- Assists Executive Director in development of policies and procedures for effective provision and administration of departmental programs, and staff supervision and administration; assists Executive Director in interpretation and implementation of federal and State procedure and policy changes; interprets and responds to inquiries from staff, clients, and the general public regarding rules, regulations, policies, procedures, etc.
- Serves as member of MPNN BH Leadership Team.
- Identifies staff need for training.
- Attends State and regional meetings in representation of the Board, making oral presentations; and participates in activities of the Board, as appropriate.
- Conducts staff meetings with clinical service delivery and program personnel.
- Prepares and coordinates development of monthly reports to the Board regarding clinical service delivery.
- Oversees all programs to ensure compliance with legislative and licensure requirements.
- Participates at in-service training/staff development activities.
- Performs other related work as required.
