Position Overview:
The Licensed Emergency Services Counselor is responsible for providing
critical support and interventions to effectively address behavioral health, intellectual disabilities and substance use emergencies challenging individuals and families in our community. Interventions include crisis intervention, emergency evaluations/ pre-admission screenings, crisis stabilization, and case management services to those
individuals at risk of hospitalization. You work three days and off four days .
Responsibilities:
- Provides client direct assessment and referral services, individual and family crisis interventions and pre-admission screenings to determine the level of care needed.

Responsible for providing life-saving intervention services, pre-admission screenings for psychiatric hospitalization, de-escalations, hospitalization, court ordered detentions, restoration to competency outpatient services and critical incident stress management community responses.

Performs comprehensive assessments to identify needs of, and resources to benefit, persons experiencing crisis or persons discharging from hospitals or crisis stabilization programs.

Conducts assessments of needs and planning services to include developing an individualized service plan.

Provides additional case management services such as coordinating inpatient discharge planning, assisting people in investigating a variety of resources and living alternatives, and pursuing education and entitlement opportunities in the context of providing emergency services.
