The position of Team Lead Substance Use is responsible for:
- Supervise the SUD staff assigned to the MPNN BH Counseling Centers or other assigned location.
- Develop, provide and supervise SUD service delivery to individuals, to include: screenings, assessments, individual, and group services for individuals as aligned with education and training.
- Serve as a recovery agent by providing and advocating for effective recovery-based services
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the SUD treatment team.
- Coordinate the provision of services by a variety of public and private agencies and service providers.
- Maintain positive, working relationships within MPNN BH, collateral contacts, correctional facilities, and referral agencies.
- Maintain familiarity with all Substance Use Disorder and Recovery services provided by MPNN BH, and those provided by community partners, to ensure appropriate referrals for additional or alternate services needed by the individual.
- Complete required assessments in a timely manner, and as aligned with education, training and credential capabilities. Refers individuals to qualified professionals for additional assessments as determined.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all individuals’ personal information and clinical records to ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR regulations, and in accordance with MPNN BH policies.
- Participate in legal proceedings as summonsed, or required by law, while maintaining adherence to 42 CFR regulations.
- Maintain timely, thorough, and accurate documentation, to include administrative supervisory tasks.
- Maintain adherence to all applicable MPNN BH organizational policies, DBHDS requirements, state and federal laws during service provision.
- Perform additional activities as needed which may include, but are not limited to, case management, direct support for personal and community resource development, and DBHDS coordination for review of expenses and data.
- Participate in all required clinical and supervisory meetings assigned to include staffing and informal/formal supervision; maintain positive communication with SUD Coordinator for questions, updates and support as needed.
- Exercise considerable initiative and judgement in all aspects of service provision and exercise tact and courtesy with individuals served, families, the public, and all MPNN employees.
- Complete all applicable initial and annual trainings as required by MPNN BH and as assigned during the course of employment; maintain current CPR/First Aid and Therapeutic Options certifications, utilizing approved skills during emergency situations.
