This position of ACT Peer Recovery Specialist is responsible for:
- Providing peer counseling to ACT individuals' who need high levels of advocacy, support and coaching to achieve recovery goals, motivational enhancement, and assistance with the development of problem-solving skills.
- Fosters hope for recovery through education and self- esteem building exercises.
- Prepares for and facilities wellness and recovery groups.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have been the recipient of mental health services to relate to individuals as peer in recovery.
Must be a certified peer recovery specialist(CPRS) or shall become certified within the first year of employment.
Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License; CPR/First Aid Certifications and TOVA. Must be certified tuberculosis free 30 days from hire and annually
