Position Overview:
Our industrial maintenance technicians are responsible for ensuring reliable operation of machinery within our facility. This role involves performing routine machine inspections and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, repairing industrial systems to minimize downtime and optimize performance, proper communication with operators and supervisors, and housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Duties:
- Routine Inspections and Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues efficiently to minimize production interruptions.
- Repairs: Conduct repairs on machinery and equipment as needed including replacing or repairing defective parts.
- Communication: Document maintenance activities, including repairs and parts used through existing work order system. As well as verbal communication with operator and supervisors to keep them abreast of task progress.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance personnel, operators, and supervisors to address issues and to continuously improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of industrial machinery and systems
Skills:
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair
- Welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Forklift operation, troubleshooting and repair
- Boiler operation, troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations including LOTO and Hot Work Permits
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Basic understanding of PLCs and VFDs
Work Environment:
This role involves working in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled including work outside throughout the year. You will be exposed to the weather, varying temperatures, dust, and machine noise.
Schedule:
Mon – Fri, Standard work hours are 1:00pm – 11:00pm, with potential for overtime or on-call duties as needed
