Position Summary:
Galaxy Food Center is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, slice, weigh, package, and label deli meats and cheeses.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli counter, prep area, and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, taking special orders, and offering product suggestions.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures in accordance with company and health department standards.
- Restock displays and monitor inventory to ensure freshness and product availability.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the deli area for daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a deli, grocery, or food service environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate deli equipment safely (slicers, scales, ovens, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
