What are the responsibilities and job description for the Framing MEP Superintendent position at Middleburg Communities LLC?
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment for all projects. If an issue cannot be resolved, inform the Project Superintendent, and implement the appropriate corrective action procedures.
- Perform daily and weekly safety audits in accordance with the Middleburg Corporate Safety Manual.
- Ensure that the materials provided by the company are protected from the elements, secured, controlled, distributed, and applied effectively.
- Make sure that all persons on site are always wearing appropriate PPE. In addition, make sure that they are complying with Middleburg and OSHA safety standards, as well as the company's best practices, local, state, and federal laws.
- Interpreting Plan details and communicate to external/internal partners (Sub-Contractors, etc.)
- Determine and assess Subcontractor staffing levels throughout Framing/MEP Scope Durations.
- Understand and communicate the requirements of the Master and Contract Schedules as they relate to framing & MEP contractors.
- Having a detailed understanding of the scope of framing and MEP subcontractor contracts.
- Ensure that subcontractor contracts are being followed and enforced. Attend all weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Ensure that all construction materials including waterproofing materials, flashing, windows, truss systems, exterior siding, hold downs and hardware are installed according to industry standards.
- Ensure that daily project logs and inspections are maintained and entered into Procore, including photos, activity logs, manpower, safety concerns, and violations.
- Responsible for preparing a list of infill materials needed and notifying the Project Superintendent of their availability.
- Assess, monitor, and document quality of work using measuring tools, gages, automation, etc., and uploading QC Checklists to Procore.
- Manage all mock-ups, box walks, and third-party assembly testing.
- Experienced in reading and understanding all construction documents related to structural, architectural, and MEP/FP work.
- Organize, coordinate, and document all inspections in progress and final inspections.
- In the event of a deviation from the schedule, notify the Project Superintendent
- Assist in resolving conflicting documents through Project Team consultation or Request for Information.
- Maintain accurate rolling inventory levels and compare them with the remaining take-offs.
- Ensure that the MEP activities and supplies are carried out and installed as specified in the construction
- Maintain and update the Master Project Schedule as well as the Look Ahead Schedule in conjunction with the project team.
- Participate in Subcontractors' meetings and weekly toolbox talks.
- Ensure the construction process is conducted in accordance with all policies and procedures, that quality standards are maintained, and that all codes and regulations are being adhered to.
