Overview
Middleburg is a vertically integrated real estate investment, development, and construction firm specializing in attainable rental housing across the southeastern United States since 2004.
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in sourcing, recruiting, and hiring skilled professionals to join our teams across various departments, including a particular focus in our Construction Division. You will work closely with department leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and build a pipeline of qualified candidates. Your efforts will directly impact the continued success and growth of our company.
This position will be full-time, in person, located in either the Vienna, VA office or the Charlotte, NC office and will report directly to the VP, People & Culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Recruiting:
- Actively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and industry-specific platforms for various roles
Screening & interviewing:
- Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and present top candidates to hiring managers
- Schedule and coordinate interviews as needed
Collaborating with Hiring Managers:
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job postings, and develop a recruitment strategy tailored to the specific needs of each department
Building a Pipeline:
- Build and maintain a talent pool for current and future hiring needs by proactively engagement with industry groups, professionals and passive candidates
- Identify, coordinate, and manage attendance at college career fairs
Managing the Hiring Process:
- Coordinate and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting jobs to extending job offers and assisting with onboarding
Ensuring a Positive Candidate Experience:
- Provide exceptional candidate experience through clear communication, timely updates, and a smooth interview process
Job Market Research:
- Stay current on industry trends, salary benchmarks to better attract and retain top talent
