If so, we'd love for you to join us as our next Prepared Foods Shift Leader! In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high food quality, and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture at the Co-op.
What You'll Do
- Lead by Example: Supervise and support deli team members during shifts
- Deliver Exceptional Service: Ensure every customer has a positive experience by providing outstanding service and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Oversee food preparation, presentation, and storage to meet safety and quality guidelines.
- Coordinate Team Efforts: Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and provide guidance to keep shifts running smoothly.
- Foster Team Growth: Support training efforts for new team members and provide constructive feedback to help the team thrive.
- Support Inventory and Ordering: Assist with restocking supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and placing orders as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading or supervising a team, preferably in food service or retail.
- Customer-Focused: Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle challenges with professionalism and poise.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and stay calm under pressure.
- Passion for Food: Interest in high-quality, fresh foods and an understanding of food preparation and safety practices.
- Team-Oriented: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaboration and positivity.
- Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with local, state, and federal food and health department requirements.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment.
