PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists students with registration and records-related questions.
- Processes requests for records verifications and transcripts.
- Maintains, updates, and adjusts student records in accordance with College procedures/policies.
- Assists in the preparation of department reports.
- Communicates and provides support to department personnel.
- Researches financial/academic appeals, handles preparations and logistics of TAC meetings, and records decisions on student records.
- Coordinates document retention and purging in accordance with State/College retention policies.
- Maintains documentation, processes approved/denied appeals, and responds to all student inquiries regarding appeal process and decisions.
- Assists with the preparation of correspondence to students regarding appeal decisions and assists with compliance with court orders/subpoenas.
- Assists students with completion of Tuition Chargeback Forms, determines eligibility, processes documentation, and responds to all student inquiries regarding Tuition Chargeback process and decisions.
- Provides administrative support to the academic scheduling process.
- Provides e-mail and telephone coverage for Registration Office.
- Assists with commencement planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree
- Two (2) years’ experience in a customer-service-related position
- Strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to deal positively with a diverse population
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented setting
- Ability to use discretion and judgment
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
SCHEDULE: Part-time position, up to 20 hours per week
Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
