The Ideal Candidate
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Office Assistant to join our team at Middlesex Health. As an essential member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for ensuring that every patient receives timely and effective care.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient exams and procedures as directed, performing phlebotomy, collecting blood and other specimens, and labeling and preparing them for delivery to the lab.
- Prepare treatment rooms, keeping them clean and stocked, and cleaning and sterilizing instruments as needed.
- Document all patient information obtained in the Electronic Health Record, confirming and recording allergies, current medications, strength, frequency, refills required, and pharmacy of choice.
- Maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely workflow for patients and providers, notifying reception staff of any anticipated service delays.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Medical Assisting Certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
