Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Middlesex Health. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical duties under the direction of licensed healthcare providers, including taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and preparing patients for exams.
- Conduct interviews with patients to gather medical information, document patient records, and maintain accurate and up-to-date files.
- Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments, and dispose of contaminated supplies appropriately.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage messages, and prepare prescription refill documents for provider review and signature.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Medical Assisting Certification
- 1 year experience working with electronic health records (EHRs)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
