Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients to the practice and escorting them to exam rooms
- Interviewing patients to verify reasons for visits and obtaining medical information
- Measuring vital signs, height, and weight, and documenting all patient information in the Electronic Health Record
- Assisting providers with patient exams and procedures as directed
- Performing phlebotomy, collecting blood and other specimens, and preparing them for delivery to the lab
- Preparing treatment rooms, keeping them clean and stocked, and cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Managing patient messages, scheduling appointments, and preparing prescription refill documents for provider review
