We’re looking for a dynamic Director of Public Relations with exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills to design and implement strategies that cultivate our relationships with media, engage our target audience, and boost our brand awareness.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the VP of Planning &External Affairs, the Director of Public Relations is responsible for coordinating the organization's overall communications strategy. In this capacity, the incumbent will work collaboratively with senior leadership to develop and implement communication strategies to broaden the impact of Middlesex Health's programs and oversee organizational messaging.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field, Master’s Degree a plus
- Must have experience with social media strategies
- Minimum of five years’ experience in public relations and corporate communications
- Extensive experience with media relations, crisis communication, and reputation management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including exceptional copywriting and editing abilities
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and remain focused
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for PR and communications management
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Healthcare environment, media, or donor relations.
