Position Highlights
Department: Hospital Access - Middletown
Hours: Part-Time, 24 hours/week (This is a benefits eligible position).
Shift: Evenings, 2nd shift
Shift Details: 2 week rotating schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 3pm-11:30pm
Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3pm-11:30pm
Position Summary:
Responsible for various patient-related access duties which include registering and processing patients to ensure Department and Hospital access and financial goals are achieved.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Proficient typing/keyboard skills
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced customer service environment
Excellent communication skills (telephone, written, and inter-personal)
Flexibility of hours necessary to ensure department scheduling are met
Professional appearance
One year experience in a hospital or medical office including insurance and medical terminology
