About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Middlesex Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients to the practice and escort them to the exam room, introducing yourself and verifying their reason for visit.
- Interview patients to obtain medical information, measure vital signs, height, and weight, and document all patient information in the Electronic Health Record.
- Assist providers with patient exams and procedures as directed, perform phlebotomy, collect blood and other specimens, and label and prepare them for delivery to the lab.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient records, ensuring that all necessary information is available for review by providers.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Medical Assisting Certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
