About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Professional to join our team at Middlesex Health. As an integral part of our patient care team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and effective care for our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Welcome patients to the practice and escort them to the exam room, introducing yourself and verifying their reason for visit.
- Interview patients to obtain medical information, measure vital signs, height, and weight, and document all relevant information in the Electronic Health Record.
- Assist providers with patient exams and procedures as directed, performing phlebotomy, collecting blood and other specimens, and labeling and preparing them for delivery to the lab.
- Maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely workflow for patients and providers, notifying reception staff of any anticipated service delays.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Medical Assisting Certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
