About the Role
Department: Mayer Center - Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation
Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Flexible/Variable
Location: Portland, CT
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist administers Occupational Therapy services under medical prescription in accordance with Hospital regulation, State of Connecticut Practice Act and quality standards. Responsible for clinical oversight of COTA.
Key Responsibilities
Administer Occupational Therapy services to pediatric patients as prescribed by physicians
Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to promote functional abilities and independence
Clinically oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in the State of Connecticut
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electronic medical charting
3-5 years clinical experience
Flexibility with scheduling
