Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at the Mayer Center in Westbrook. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. As a BCBA, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that promote positive behavior change and enhance the quality of life for our clients. This position is full time- 40 hours Monday-Friday.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision:- Support direct care staff including: Registered Behavioral Techs (RBT), students, paraprofessionals
- Administers and scores assessments (VM-MAPP and other functional assessment measures)
- Regularly observes clients in treatment settings to provide training, probe skills and make treatment decisions and/or modifications
- Create treatment plans and conducts treatment plan audits
- Review all session notes and data taken by Behaviors Technicians to monitor client progress and BT proficiency
- Provide parent training as appropriate
- Collaborate with parents, team members, and professionals to ensure optimal client progress and outcomes.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with key stakeholders to include and not limited to the client’s family and respond to guardian questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform assessments and develop treatment plans as needed
- Provides crisis management and on call if needed to Supervising BCBA
- Provides in-home and center based care
Minimum Qualifications
- Credentialed with Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Minimum of a master’s degree in related field
- Familiarity with a variety of assessment types
- Experience creating individualized treatment plans with an emphasis on skill acquisition
- Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Passion and drive for working with children and their families
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience facilitating positive interactions
- Valid driver’s license
