What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Middlesex Hospital?
Department: Dietary Aide
Hours: Per Diem
Shift: Variable – Shift Differentials Apply!
Position Summary:
The Dietary Aide performs tasks related to the preparation and serving of food for both patient and non-patient meals, along with responsibilities in sanitation and utility functions. Additionally, this position involves cooking on our grill, with training provided.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
A minimum of 2 years of experience in food service
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required within two years of hire
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to read/write/understand English language
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year related experience
Previous food service experience, including working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong cooking skills, with experience in preparing and cooking a variety of meals.
Proficient in operating deli slicers and other kitchen equipment.
Experience in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
