Environmental Support Technician - Central Sterile Services

- Hours: 32.00 per week
- Shift: Shift 1
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Under Direct supervision of Surgical Services Leadership (Managers, Leads, Supervisors, and Charge RNs).
Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of Surgical Services, with a strong focus on terminal cleaning of the operating rooms and sterile processing,
The role includes turning over rooms between surgical cases, cleaning common areas. Assisting with departmental needs to include CSS (once trained).
Minimum Qualifications
Six months experience in the Environmental Services Department preferred. Must be able to understand and respond to basic verbal and written English language instructions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must understand and comply with pertinent Hospital infection control policies and procedures as well as the special cleaning needs of Surgery.
