Position Summary:
The Homecare Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the department in designated projects and works well with a team to help achieve the goals of Homecare and Hospice.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assist the department in all related office support activities to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of patient care and service.
Trains for cross coverage to fulfill back up support for office processes - scheduling, responding to telephone inquiries and other duties as assigned.
Maintains a professional, helpful and friendly attitude with patients and co-workers.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must have strong computer and organizational skills, attention to detail and be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
Must have excellent communication skills with knowledge of telephone etiquette
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with healthcare and medical terminology
Previous EPIC experience
