OB Surgical Technologist
Full time: 36 hours (evening shift during the week and day shift every other weekend)
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides set-up and preparation of the surgical procedures of Cesarean Sections, Tubal Ligations and D&Cs. Performs the role of Scrub Technician throughout the duration of these surgical cases alongside the Primary Surgeon and the First Assistant.
Performs and completes all the functions of the Maternity Patient Care Technician by providing direct patient care to adults and newborns as well as contributes to the upkeep and function of the unit as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2 years experience in an acute care setting
Willing to train candidate with prior acute care PCT, MA or EMT experience
Have the ability to interact with patients
Must be able to meet physical demands of the position as listed below
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician Program or Licensed Practical Nurse Program
Surgical Scrub Certification
LPN License
