Job Overview
The Registrar is responsible for the direction, management, and coordination of daily operations in the District Registrar’s office to ensure regulatory compliance, maintenance of student records, and oversight of the registration process.
Essential Functions:
- State Reporting - Maintains an accurate database of district-wide student demographic information to enable timely response to data requests and report requirements for the District and outside agencies such as the Legislative Audit Bureau and the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Assumes responsibility for identifying needed data elements for completion of state and federal reports, such as, but not limited to:
- Student/teacher reporting through WISDATA reporting
- Third Friday in September and second Friday in January enrollment count and coordination with Fiscal Services regarding data reporting
- Various DPI reporting processes
- Registration – Provides direction and support to the Registration Clerk regarding Registrar operations and responsibilities. Responsible for and oversees input and retrieval of student record information within the system. Assists with registration of new students in the District as needed. Assists in resolving residency issues that arise during the registration process.
- Ensures fiscal year-end data integrity.
- Open Enrollment/Waivers – Assists Assistant Superintendent of Operations with the administration of the Open Enrollment and Tuition Waiver process including identification, tracking, and providing information to Fiscal Services regarding billing.
- Training/Support for users – Provides training and support for district-wide clerical staff regarding system capability, data entry, reporting requirements, and data integrity issues. Provides phone and on-site technical support and ad hoc reports to users as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Operations.

Qualifications:
- Education: Equivalent of Associate degree.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Special Requirements: Proven experience working with a student information system or other similar database system and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual - Spanish/English Preferred.
