What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Advisor position at Middletown Honda?
Middletown Honda is looking to add a Service Advisor to our team! As a Service Advisor, you will own our customer’s experience in the service lane. You are the first point of contact with our customers and will be well-versed in product offerings, inventory needs, technician scheduling and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee flow of the service lane
- Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
- Obtain both customer and vehicle information
- Clearly and accurately report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
- Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled
- Determine and recommend needed maintenance based on asge, mileage, and the history of the customers vehicle
- Distribute work between technicians efficiently
- Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of the cost for labor and parts
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, as well as updating customers frequently
- Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in a service advisory role
- Honda experience is a plus!
- Organized and friendly personality
- Demonstrated ability to manage others
- Time management skills
- Fantastic communication skills with your customers
- Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
- Clean driving record
