Nephrology NP Unique Opportunity
Middletown Medical is seeking a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner/PA to join our established team of Advanced Practice Professionals. The primary responsibilities will be to care for kidney disease patients by providing hospital coverage with weekday & weekend coverage (shared with other providers) and rounding on patients in dialysis units. Outpatient office hours are flexible.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS
- Obtains medical histories, organizes relevant data, performs physical examinations, and suggests pertinent laboratory, radiographic or other studies that are needed to establish or support a diagnosis.
- Maintain documentation for patient care accurately and effectively
- Evaluating and treating problems
- Communicate effectively with the primary team/provider and call for consultations as necessary
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- · Accredited Nurse Practitioner/ PA with an active license to practice in the State of New York
- experience, preferably in Nephrology or willing to work in Nephrology
- Share hospital coverage with other Nephrologists
- Ability to be credentialed at the affiliated hospital
