Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed.
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions.
Clinical Support:
- Take patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment for procedures.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor surgical procedures.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and surgeries.
- Manage medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Handle insurance forms, billing, and coding for procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a medical assistant (CMA)
- Previous experience in orthopedics or a related field is desirable.
