Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Include :

Providing daily support to unit leadership and responding promptly to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice.

Utilizing nursing processes, judgment, and skills to prioritize and ensure quality direct resident care, while making decisions that promote resident safety and care quality.

Administering standard nursing treatments and medications, and observing residents for desired or adverse effects.

Collaborating with the care team to revise and update Nursing Care Plans based on relevant findings, including lab / test results and other concerns.

Monitoring and documenting vital signs, treatments administered, and residents’ responses.

Preparing and supervising the delivery of care through resident CNA assignments and activities, ensuring alignment with resident needs and personnel competencies.

Requirements :

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.

Current, valid LPN license in good standing in New York.

A commitment to providing clinically sound and compassionate care.

A cooperative spirit and enthusiasm to foster an environment conducive to rehabilitation and optimal health.

A genuine interest in assisting residents who may be ill, injured, disabled, elderly, or face challenges.

Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure while collaborating harmoniously with all staff members.

COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED ; we continue to offer vaccinations based on CDC eligibility guidance.
