What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse Weekend Shift position at Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Middletown Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare. This is a full-time position with every other weekend required, offering excellent benefits and competitive pay rates.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to unit leadership and respond promptly to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice
- Use the nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities and deliver quality direct resident care, making decisions that promote safety and quality
- Perform and administer standard nursing treatments and medications, observing residents for desired or unwanted effects
- Communicate and collaborate with the care team to revise and update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings
- Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and residents' responses
- Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of care for resident CNA assignments and activities, considering the category of needs and competency of personnel
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current license in good standing in New York as an LPN
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care
- Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, and sometimes challenging residents
- Have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
- Work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff
- Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC
