Are you ready to jumpstart your nursing career? We are hosting multiple Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification programs in 2025. You will be hired and work as Unit Aide (Temp), through the duration of the training program. Unit Aide (Temp) are responsible for assisting CNA's or unit with non-ADL functions. Class space is limited; as the classes will ONLY accept less than 10 students at a time for this ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY. SUMMARY OF UNIT AIDE (TEMP) JOB DESCRIPTION :
Provide positive interaction with residents and supervise Community areas as needed.
Ensure that the resident's room is ready for receiving the resident. (i.e. bed made, name tags up, admission kit available etc.).
Greet and escort residents to their room. Introduce residents to his / her roommate, if any, and other residents and personnel as appropriate.
Make resident comfortable.
Inventory and mark the resident's personal possessions.
Assist residents with packing their personal possessions when they are being transferred or discharged.
Transport residents to new rooms or to receiving area. Assist with loading / unloading as necessary.
Make beds. Put extra covers on beds as requested.
Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs.
Assist with transportation throughout facility (i.e. to dining or community areas)
Transport residents to designated dining area for meals and assist seating at appropriate table.
Dining Room Procedure : assist with handwashing, distribute beverages.
Meal / Tray delivery. Assist residents with obtaining alternates, opening containers etc.
Assist with transport back to units.
Assist activity staff with transportation to programs.
Supervise residents in patio area during nice weather.
Answer resident calls promptly and get proper staff to assist with their request.
Get supplies for the unit.
Requirements :
No experience required; but those with prior healthcare experience including but not limited to TNA (Temp Nurse Aide), PCA (Personal Care Aide), HHA (Home Health Aide), or DSP (Direct Support Professional) related experience would be a plus
