Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist will assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing physical therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the physical therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.
- Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents.
Requirements:
- Must possess a current license and registration to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of NY.
- Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing.
