What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beyond the Bell Grades 9 - 12 Summer Intervention Coordinator (Anticipated Opening) position at Middletown Public Schools?
GOAL: Grades 9-12 Summer Intervention Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the district as it continues to implement Response to Intervention (RtI). The Grades 9-12 Summer Intervention Coordinator will also support the district in the management and supervision of student interventions and progress monitoring, including after school intervention programs and summer intervention programs.Job Responsibilities: Provide professional development/lead training for district personnel and/or teams on RtISupport the district and schools with RtI implementation and technical support (e.g., Personal Literacy Plans, Personal Math Plans, progress monitoring, interventions, RtI process and documentation)Provide oversight and facilitation of the after school and summer intervention programsMonitor student achievement data associated with RtI, school wide screening data, grade level screening data and intervention program data, providing regular updates to the Leadership Team including Central Administration and Principals.Evaluate potential purchases, and provide support for intensive intervention materialsCollaborate with district and building administrators and Grades K-8 Intervention Coordinator to support each school in its focus on RtI, assessment literacy, and classroom assessment for student learning. Components of the support will include but not be limited to: Strengths Areas of growth Resources Professional development needs Fidelity of implementation of RtI programs Monitoring of student achievement data Use of formative assessmentsAssist in the development of district goals, programmatic expertise, new and developing research in the area of RtI, problem solving and data-based decision making that will impact the instructional practices, coaching and monitoring for increased student academic achievement;Assist in the maintenance of district-wide focus for implementation of RTI assuring the inclusion of special education, related services, second language learners, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS);Provide coaching and assistance to the schools and staff to improve student achievement (including but not limited to school level RtI/problem solving/data teams (processes & protocols), intervention & progress monitoring support)Provide leadership and assist school personnel by providing clarity of focus, expanded opportunities, and promoting high expectations of all studentsAttend district wide learning leadership team meetings, workshops and trainingsPerform other duties as may be assigned.Reports To: Assistant Superintendent
