About This Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team at Middletown Unified.

In this critical role, you will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to create personalized learning plans, adapt teaching methods, and foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction and academic growth.

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to create individualized education plans for students with disabilities.
  • Provide High-Quality Instruction: Deliver targeted instruction and support to students in various educational settings, ensuring they receive the necessary resources to succeed.
  • Cultivate Inclusive Learning Environments: Design and maintain flexible and engaging learning spaces that promote social interaction, academic growth, and student well-being.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of student support services.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • California Teaching Credential authorizing service in special education (Education Specialist Credential or equivalent) with ELD or CLAD authorization.
  • RST or equivalent preferred.
