Job Title: Structural Inspector
Middough is seeking a highly skilled Structural Inspector to join our team. As a Structural Inspector, you will serve as the company's field representative and gather documentation of existing conditions for the development of engineered repairs of deficiencies found.
You will also be responsible for monitoring construction activities during repairs or installation of structures and modifications resulting from inspection findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily reports on information retrieved from on-site inspections
- Read site drawings and make changes accordingly based upon inspection results
- Know and understand current equipment inspection standards, codes, practices, procedures, methods, inspection equipment, as applicable
- Provide technical support and problem-solving skills around inspection methods and procedures to complete work within scope and intent of applicable codes and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD required
- Certifications and/or Nondestructive testing experience with AMPP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance), NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers), AWS (American Welding Society), API (American Petroleum Institute) preferred
- Knowledge of measuring instruments, construction materials, methods, and processes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task and be highly organized for effective project planning
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will be subject to confined space entries and non-confined space work requiring bending, reaching, climbing with inspection tools, harnesses, and lanyards.
May be exposed to adverse environmental conditions, such as extreme heat and/or cold, and/or poor air quality, when on-site at a client facility.
Occasional car or air travel may be required to other company locations or client sites.
