Job Summary
Responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations within the transportation team, including auditing, disputing, and processing vendor invoices for payment. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, an excellent communicator, and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. This person must be detail-oriented, committed to producing quality work, confident meeting tight deadlines, and graceful under pressure.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Set up new carriers and shipping lines in the Midea financial system.
- Audit all invoices from transportation vendors.
- Collect back up documentation as proof of valid charges.
- Dispute invalid charges with carriers and follow-through with related parties until disputes are resolved.
- Communicate with inbound/outbound specialists to validate charges.
- Pay port charges as needed to get containers released promptly.
- Submit audited invoices in Midea finance system for approval and payment.
- Continuously analyze and make suggestions to improve the audit processes.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
- Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- 3-5 years of finance and import transportation experience.
- Advanced research, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
- Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge
